Please find below the order issued by State Election Co-operation Authority, Maharashtra State, Pune dated 1st December, 2020.

In this order, the Authority has mainly emphasized on raising of Election Fund by the Co-operative Societies, for which in the below table expected Election Fund has been mentioned by them.

For our day to day operations, we need to focus on only 2 type of Societies, one is in Class – C (more than 250 members) and Class – D (below and upto 250 members)

A.            DISTRICT / TALUKA / WARD LEVEL EXPECTED ELECTION FUND:

Co-operative Societies need to collect the above fund in 5 years @ 20% per year in a separate bank Account (Clarification : No need to open a separate savings / current account, the election fund can be deposited into separate Fixed Deposit account on yearly basis).  This matter is not applicable for the elections which will be carried out after 31.12.2020.  Such co-operative Societies need to deposit Election Fund with the District / Taluka / Ward level Election Officers at least 6 months in advance as one time payment.

Funds so collected on yearly basis need to be submitted with District / Taluka / Ward level Election Officers by way of crossed cheque / Demand Draft at the time of submission of voters list.  Do not deposit the Election Fund directly into bank account of the SCEA.

A Statement showing investment of such collected Election Fund needs to be provided to District / Taluka / Ward level Election Officers.
